I wanted to share just how important your comments on The Pulse can be. Early Friday morning, two comments were posted regarding safety issues near the entry to the lower level of the parking deck. The two comments raised important issues about the location of the parking attendant booth and visibility problems for cars exiting the deck.
By noon, Plant Operations staff had addressed both concerns.
The booth has been moved back several feet, and is now snug against the concrete structure. This new location, pictured here, will help free up space in the entry and allow more room for incoming and exiting cars.
Additionally, the first parking spot to the South as you exit the parking deck has been blocked off. At times, when a car had been parked there, drivers exiting the garage had limited visibility of traffic coming down Crawford Avenue. With this spot blocked off, we can now easily see approaching vehicles.
Thanks to your suggestions, the entry to the lower level of the garage is now more open and safer for employees, patients, and visitors.
Thank you to everyone who read the post on The Pulse regarding the employee meetings–and thank you to everyone who submitted a comment. We had a record number of views and a record number of comments on that story.
We’re committed to answering each question you posted, and we’ll do so in a series of posts over the next few weeks. Watch The Pulse next week for the series premiere.
