Inside Reagan’s CIA

Next Wednesday evening our community will play host to Herb Meyer, a man with a fascinating story of his work in the Central Intelligence Agency during President Ronald Reagan’s administration.
I wanted to share this information with you and invite you to attend this one-of-a-kind dinner. The dinner will be held October 9 at Timber Creek Golf Club, with a cocktail hour at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30. The cost of a ticket is $30.
The proceeds from the dinner go directly to support the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home, one of our community’s most distinguished landmarks. KSB Hospital is proud to help sponsor this interesting community event.
Here’s a summary of Mr. Meyer’s biography:

Herbert E. Meyer served during the Reagan Administration as Special Assistant to the Director of Central Intelligence and Vice Chairman of the CIA’s National Intelligence Council. In these positions, he managed production of the U.S. National Intelligence Estimates and other top-secret projections for the President and his national security advisers. Mr. Meyer is widely Soviet Union’s collapse — a forecast for which he later was awarded the U.S. National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, which is the Intelligence Community’s highest honor.

We’re very pleased to welcome Herb Meyer, and happy to support the Reagan Home. I hope to see you at the dinner!

– Dave
