KSB Hospital’s Leadership Team gets out of the hospital every three months to gain new information and have an opportunity to know our colleagues at a deeper level. In June Richard Corder, of Boston-based Wellesley Partners, addressed the group on patient experience, personal accountability and building a winning culture.
I took many concepts away, however this quote keeps popping into my mind several days after the event:
“If obstacles or conflicting priorities arise, it is still up to me to gain focus and create greater effectiveness. (Mindset) No fault, no blame, no guilt.”
How often do we give ourselves “an out”, when we should be holding ourselves accountable to win the day?
Here is one more to wrap up the conference:
“Do what you love in the service of people who love what you do”
