With five years under her belt as an Administrative Assistant, Beth McLane has gradually grown into her role working for both KSB Chief Financial Officer Deb Didier and Chief Information Officer Tim Broos.

Now Beth is being recognized for her work by being named Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2009. Beth received her award at a special presentation in the Cafeteria last Friday.

“Beth has done an outstanding job as the CIO/CFO assistant,” Tim Broos said. “Her knowledge and efficiency with the computer are unsurpassed. Beth has taken over running statistical reports for others, and her capability and effectiveness are amazing. She is always available and willing to work with people and dig to get what is needed.”

Beth, who started at KSB in February 2005, has filled the role of Administrative Assistant ever since being hired. She also is the secretary for the Compliance/HIPAA Committee and also for the Policy and Procedures Committee.

“Beth is always eager to learn new things and expand her capabilities,” the nomination form read. She takes complex ideas and projects and attacks them with great tenacity and zeal.

“Most of all, Beth has an outstanding, positive attitude to combine with her superior technical skills.”

Deb Didier, who succeeded the retired Skip Farrell as CFO in January, echoed the comments on the nomination form.

“It’s taken me awhile to get used to the fact that Beth is here to do things for me,” Deb said. “She comes through with everything I give her. No project is too big for her. She properly prioritizes the work and gets it done before we need it.”

As recipient of the Employee of the Quarter award, Beth was presented with a certificate of recognition and an Employee of the Quarter polo shirt. She also received a cash award of $50 in her paycheck, a free meal pass to the Cafeteria, and an invitation for her and a guest to attend the October awards banquet.
