Whatever It Takes

I received this note from Kathy Smith, and it reminded me of the countless ways members of the KSB Family do whatever it takes to care for the patients that trust us with their health.  Congratulations Hermillo, and thank you for making KSB the Best Place for Patients to Receive Care!

On Wednesday evening around 4pm our main Chemistry analyzer went down.  Hermillo (Zuniga) is always checking on things and was in the lab when this happened.  In talking to Bret (Metzler) he was aware of the problems we were having, and offered to run samples to TSC lab for us, if we needed it.  He is always so helpful and smiling.  Although we did not have to use him, we appreciated his offer to help out another dept and go out of his way if it was needed.

  1. I was wondering if there is anyway we could put curtains in front of the doors as you walk in the patients room (on 3rd & 4th floor med/surg). It is just nice to have privacy for the patients i.e. if the patient is sitting on a commode, baths, turns, etc. I am not sure if housekeeping would take care of this or plant ops.

  2. We have discussed curtains in the past. I'll talk to Martha, Carol and Jamey and gain their perspectives on the issue.

Thank you for taking the time to send me a suggestion!

  3. Way to go Hermillo!! It's stories like this that show what great team work goes on here at KSB.

  4. Thank you so much Hermilo! You truly are a great asset to KSB. I work closely with you on an almost daily basis and you are always willing to help in any way possible. Whenever there is an issue or something that needs to be taken care of immediately, you are the first to offer your services. Thank you for what you do, both for the patients and staff at KSB!!!

  5. On every occasion that I have ever dealt with Hermilo he has been nothing but generous and very professional. He is a superb asset to our facility! Thanks for all you do for your fellow employees and customers! It does not go unnoticed!

  6. Hermilo has helped us on many occasions with problems that have occured. He has always been very nice and efficient! Thank you for all that you do!

  7. Hermillo never thinks any job is beneath him. If he would ask his co workers to do a job he would also be willing to do the work too. He doesn't care if he gets his hands dirty. Being in a supervisor position this is so remarkable! What a great attitude!

  8. When I was working on 2nd shift, and needed anything, I would always call Hermilo. He was always cheerful and happy to help in any way that he could.
