Strategic planning is the process of identifying an organization’s direction and goals, and allocating resources to support those plans.
At KSB, our Strategic Plan has three key areas of focus: people, access, and value. We focus on access by delivering patient-centered care. We focus on people by building the best team, and we focus on value through strong operations.
A key component of planning involves looking forward to what you’d like to be in the future. We each do this for ourselves when we set a personal goal or think about where we’d like to be in 5 or 10 years.
When our diverse team of clinical experts, support staff, management, and administration sat down to discuss our strategic goals, we described the KSB of the future that we’d all like to be a part of.
Our Access goals are to deliver the kind of experiences that earn us scores in the top 5% for patient satisfaction, and to ensure excellent clinical quality by earning a Truven Top 100 Hospitals distinction.
Our People goal is to be an organization made up of the right people, with the right tools and training, in the right positions. That is, to have skilled, engaged employees working together for our patients.
Our Value goal is to aggressively work to grow our market share by meeting the health needs of our community and by being their first choice for services while we keep the cost of healthcare under control—with new growth and expense reduction combining for a $25 million impact.
