Great organizations require world-class leadership. KSB Hospital takes this responsibility very seriously. I would like to share with you two examples.
Last week Suzanne Ravlin (KSB Chief Legal Officer) and Crystal Southerland (KSB Eye & Vision Manager) concluded a twelve-month program called Rise Up!. This leadership development initiative took eight young leaders from area businesses and exposed them to various situations intended to fundamentally change the way the leader sees the world around them. Participants were encouraged to take these learnings back to their own company as well as to the multitude of volunteer agencies they may serve. The attached photo shows Suzanne Ravlin and Drew Fenner (KSB Director of Process Improvement).
Within KSB there is a program called The Professional Development Group (PDG). This program is under the guidance of Julie Mann (KSB Chief Administrative Officer) and Grace Crowe (KSB Health & Wellness Advocate). Now in its 4th year, the intent is to have a competitive application process from among KSB employees for admission into a nine-month program. Graduates from PDG have gone on to management roles at KSB Hospital, as well as other organizations.
I am extremely proud of the emphasis KSB places on developing leaders. If you have an executive you would like to consider for Rise Up!, please reach out to me for more information by clicking on “EMAIL DAVID” in the heading at the top of this page.
